headspace Grafton has a vacancy for the full time (38 hpw) position of Receptionist. This position is available for immediate start and is funded until 30/6/25, with the potential for extension to either Casual or Part-time pending futher funding.
About the role:
Reporting to the Administration Manager, the receptionist role is to provide reception and administrative support to all members of the headspace Grafton centre team in order to facilitate a high level of care for young people and support for their family and friends. As the first point of contact with the public, it is essential that the reception team are courteous, compassionate and able to interact with a wide and diverse population.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Answer telephone calls and respond to persons presenting at the reception deskin a prompt, polite, calm, respectful and compassionate manner
Coordinating the scheduling of appointments with GPs, Allied Health and Visiting Specialists, including confirmation of appointments and re-scheduling where necessary
Ensuring referrals are up to date
Ensuring clinicians receive all relevant documentation in a timely fashion to assist the care of their clients
Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure the smooth entry of new clients to the service.
And desirably, experience using medical practice software (particularly Best Practice) or working in a youth mental health service.
